Academic Word Formatting Specialist
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I’m preparing an academic paper in Microsoft Word and want it to look publication-ready before submission. The manuscript needs three layers of support:
1. Document formatting – apply consistent styles, correct spacing, page breaks, automatic table of contents, and ensure headings and subheadings follow the required hierarchy.
2. Template creation – build a reusable .dotx template that locks in those styles so future chapters or related papers instantly match the same standards.
3. Mail merge – set up a clean merge with an Excel sheet so I can generate personalised cover letters for reviewers without touching the core document.
Within the paper itself, citations and references must appear in the exact style guide I’ll provide, tables and figures should stay anchored with proper captions, and all cross-references have to update automatically. I’d like to hand over a draft, review a first pass, and then receive:
• A fully formatted .docx ready for submission
• The matching Word template (.dotx)
• A simple mail-merge walkthrough (brief PDF or short Loom video) showing how to trigger the merge with my dataset
If you’re comfortable juggling styles, section breaks, multilevel lists, table and figure positioning, plus Word’s mail-merge wizard, this should be straightforward. Let me know your turnaround time and any similar academic projects you’ve polished so I can gauge fit quickly.
