Academic Textbook Index Refresh
Budget: $50 – $100 USD
The manuscript’s subject index is already about 90 % tagged with Microsoft Word’s XE fields. I need (1) those existing tags checked, corrected, and expanded so every indexed term points to the right pages where the term is materialistically mentioned, and (2) any material terms to be added to the current index.
You will work in the DOCX file itself, relying exclusively on native Word indexing tools. I’ll provide the current index. If we add more sections later, and page numbers change, the tagging has to remain reusable - hence the need for XE tags.
Deliverables
• Updated DOCX containing all revised and new XE tags
• Brief change log noting tags added, amended, or removed
Solid experience building academic or technical indexes with Word XE tags is essential, along with a careful eye for sub-entries, cross-references, and consistent alphabetical formatting. Let me know your quality-check approach and the turnaround you expect for roughly 55,000 pages.
