SQL 2014 to 2022 Upgrade Problems
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Have SQL Server Standard and SSRS 2014 installed on DC (Windows Server 2019) in single-server environment. I am upgrading to SQL Server 2022 Standard and running into so many issues. I see that you can't install SSRS on DC's anymore (didn't realize that ahead of purchase. I know, I should have done more homework). I setup a VM for SSRS (running Windows Server 2016), but can't get SSRS to find the SQL instance on DC (still has SQL 2014 installed).
Is it possible to use DB's on DC as report server DB and just run SSRS from VM? I'd like to keep Report Server URL's the same so I don't have to reconfigure multiple programs and purchase new SSL certificate for VM.
