SQL Server stuck in recovery mode

The issue at hand is that my company was recently hit by a cyber attack.
We have been able to clean this up and our SQL server DB was running perfectly, until today when we required to restart the server and the DB is stuck at recovery.
On checking logs, I found that one of the .mdf files has been deleted.
I have an old backup. I need to fix the database.
