Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Data Engineer with strong expertise in MSBI (SSIS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Data Lake migration. The role involves monitoring, creating, troubleshooting, and managing ETL pipelines across on-premise and cloud environments.



Responsibilities:
• Monitor, create, troubleshoot, and optimize SSIS packages and scheduled jobs.
• Monitor, create, troubleshoot, and manage ADF pipelines and activities.
• Migrate existing SSIS workflows and data loads to Azure Data Lake and ADF pipelines.
• Perform error handling, performance tuning, and log management for ETL processes.
• Work with relational databases (SQL Server) and Azure Data services.
• Collaborate with the data team to ensure smooth data pipeline operations.
• Create technical documentation for ETL processes and migration activities.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and governance throughout data workflows.



Required Skills:
• Strong experience in MSBI, especially SSIS development and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF): creating, monitoring, and debugging pipelines.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage and best practices for migration.
• Proficient in SQL Server and writing optimized SQL queries.
• Experience with scheduling tools (SQL Agent, ADF Triggers, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with version control (Git/Azure DevOps) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
• Basic knowledge of DataBricks, Synapse Analytics, or other Azure services.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for ADF/SSIS deployments.
• Prior experience in data migration projects (on-premise to cloud).
