Data and Reporting Specialist

The primary purpose of the position is to continue the progress on the automation of Fuse’s ETL and Reporting pipeline, focusing primarily on the development of new reports using Microsoft Power BI and Excel but also including the refactoring of existing ETL processes as necessary. This position is expected to interact with members of the Fuse Analytics and Reporting department.

Essential Functions:

Create interactive reporting solutions in the form of dashboards and pivot tables following standard reporting and cloud computing best practices. This function will be, to the extent possible, executed each day worked and will require a comprehensive understanding of Power BI, Excel, SQL, Power Query, and DAX. Additionally experience with Python, Spark, Databricks and Microsoft Azure are preferred. Fuse has its main office located in Reston, Virginia, however this position will be managed remotely by the Senior Reporting Manager. The position is part time.

Experience and Capabilities:

Required:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, Excel, Power Query and DAX
• Experience with Python, Spark, SQL, Microsoft Azure and Databricks
• Experience with modern ETL pipelines and processes
• Proficiency with effective written and verbal communication appropriate for a professional environment
• Effective time management skills necessary to keep pace with bi-weekly sprints
Preferred:
• Programming or industry certifications
• Fundraising experience
• Non-profit experience

Work Conditions:

• Work hours are expected to be full time and temporary, as specified in the terms of the employment contract
