archiving email from gmail to outlook 365

my gmail is full and need to do cleaning and archiving , but I to archive my gmail into my pc and still be able to access my gmail achive on my pc using outlook 365.
i have tried to archive but the provess did not work , it did archive on my pc and it archived the email on the gmail as well so it didn't freed any space.
