outlook 2003 connection of existing email addresses

Server working OK but have had problems moving four email adresses over. Need someone to install the addresses. Had a "tech" guy come in and he installed Thunderbird as he said the 2003 outlook was too old. It took ages to sort out the settings and get it to work at all and then it is not a patch on outlook, less reliable and slower. Can I get back to outlook???
Could do though "any desk" or similar
