Freelance On-Site IT Support Engineer — Wilmslow/Manchester Area
Description:
We are a local IT consultancy looking for a reliable freelance engineer to handle a client site visit in the Wilmslow / Manchester area.
Job includes:
Migrate and archive an older Exchange mailbox into Microsoft 365 (existing Outlook app on iPad/iPhone/laptop)
Troubleshoot and resolve recurring calendar and sync issues across iPhone, iPad & laptop
Reviewing and tidying up Outlook calendars — fixing the “gremlins” such as recurring meetings that can’t be edited or deleted
Provide a plain-English status summary on completion so our client (a small business) is clear on what was done
You’ll be working under our brand, with us as your primary client contact. The client knows us (we’ll introduce you appropriately), but you’ll be the on-site technical lead.
Requirements:
UK-based freelance engineer, within ~30 mins of Wilmslow / Manchester (onsite visit)
Proven experience with Microsoft 365 / Exchange migrations, Outlook/iOS device setups
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and provide clear written completion summary
Must be fully insured (public liability/professional indemnity) and able to invoice for services
You’ll represent our consultancy on-site, so presentable, professional attitude required
Budget & timeframe:
Budget: £90-£130 for this job (include travel time)
Expected visit: within the next 7 days
Payment released after job completion and client sign-off

If this works well, there is potential for additional freelance jobs via our consultancy (on-call, short visits, system tweaks).
