Exchange Server Maintenance & Updates
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I run an on-prem Microsoft Exchange environment that needs steady, proactive care. My priority is regular application-level maintenance: keeping the server patched, healthy, and ready for daily mail flow without surprises.
The core tasks are straightforward: fix bugs as they surface and deploy feature updates that ship with each cumulative update or security roll-up. Operating-system and hardware support are already covered elsewhere—this assignment is all about the Exchange application itself.
Deliverables
• Baseline assessment of the current Exchange build, configuration, and mail-flow health
• Written maintenance plan detailing patch cadence, rollback strategy, and monitoring checkpoints
• Execution of the first maintenance window: apply the latest CU/SU, resolve any active bugs, and enable requested minor features
• Post-change report confirming successful mail flow plus shell commands or scripts used
PowerShell expertise, familiarity with the Exchange Management Shell, and clear documentation habits are essential. If you’ve handled multi-site or hybrid Exchange setups, mention it along with your typical response time for urgent incidents.
Once we agree on scope and timeline, we can move straight into the first scheduled maintenance window.
