About the Role:
We're looking for a sharp and experienced Consultant/Architect to guide our clients in strategically adopting Microsoft Fabric, specifically focusing on the design and implementation of the gold and silver data layers.

Consultant Location – India

What You'll Do:
• Design end-to-end data architectures in Microsoft Fabric, with a laser focus on the gold (semantic, reporting-ready) and silver (cleansed, integrated) layers.
• Collaborate with various BUs to understand their data landscape, business objectives, and reporting requirements, then translate these into actionable Fabric adoption strategies.
• Lead the implementation of Fabric components like Data Factory, Synapse Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, and Power BI datasets, ensuring alignment with best practices for gold and silver layer development.
• Develop and optimize data models for both the integrated silver layer and the curated gold layer, considering performance, scalability, and usability.
• Define and implement data governance policies and standards within Fabric to ensure data quality, security, and compliance across the gold and silver layers.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within the Fabric environment, particularly concerning query performance and data processing efficiency in the target layers.
• Mentor client teams and colleagues on Microsoft Fabric best practices, architecture patterns, and the nuances of building effective gold and silver layers.
• Troubleshoot complex data integration and transformation challenges within the Fabric ecosystem.

What You Bring:
• Deep understanding of modern data warehousing principles and methodologies.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing data solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on Azure Data Factory, Azure AI Foundry
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components and their application in building data pipelines and analytical models.
• Proven ability to design and implement dimensional and relational data models optimized for reporting and analysis (gold layer).
• Solid understanding of data integration patterns and ETL/ELT processes for building integrated data layers (silver layer).
• Experience implementing data quality checks and data governance frameworks.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data manipulation and querying.
• Familiarity with Power BI and its integration with Fabric datasets.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills. You can explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A knack for problem-solving and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Microsoft certifications related to Azure data services or Fabric are a plus.
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies within Fabric.
• Familiarity with data science workflows and integration with Fabric.
