MVP SaaS Website Development
Budget: $30 – $60 USD
We are looking for an experienced web developer to create a bold and vibrant website for my SaaS MVP. The primary goal of this site is to gather user feedback, so it needs to be interactive and user-friendly. The website should have the following core features for user acquisition:
- Authentication and other features of registration and password mgmt (a sign-up area)
- Put content we create into the web site: for MVP just a short tutorial and perhaps a video or two of live conversation that can be YouTube for example.
The design style of the website needs to engage a narrow set of customers related to renting farmland. It is a serious subject, with a lot of emotion, and a lot of dollars changing hands annually from farmer / operator to land owner. Therefore, a strong understanding of modern web design trends and user interface principles is essential.
Your portfolio should demonstrate your ability to design and develop interactive, user-centric websites. Experience with SaaS deployed on Azure using WordPress (yes this is now possible) and/or C# with .NET razor pages is what we are looking at. For the MVP, we probably will go with WordPress unless there is some reason .NET and C# can be deployed as quick. Please share examples of your previous work.
The product will be on mobile and world wide web. It’s relatively simple, as a service that takes just a few numbers from a farm operator prior to growing a crop that makes a chart, in an "S" curve. We will put those and three series of numbers to create a JSON object to call fusion charts. We have license for fusion charts already, to develop and deploy a SaaS.
The math is already done, in other words the math behind it is the central heart beat of the service, but there will be additional services in the full product later. It will be rolled out world-wide. A patent pending is in place. We do not have logos, or any over all color or style yet.
The two principle people in the startup are also software developers with 20 to 30 years of experience in Word Press, .NET, and we have been in startup companies but mostly as software consultants. I am also a farmer - thus I have a personal story of how this started. We need a developer who can help while we handle marketing content, marketing analysis and so on. We are very flexible, in terms of switching tasks, changing direction, and doing whatever it takes to get this in front of as many agriculture producers and land owners as possible, both here in the USA and world wide.
The work you would do initially, is for the look and feel of the entire web site, so we need some guidance on colors, styles, and we will be asking for some marketing experience in terms not only building the product but potentially long term marketing information taken from ad campaigns, blogs, user interactions, and so on. Others will be responsible for content creation.
Thus, if there is a good fit, we would need someone to handle things that come from the content creators, or if you can create some simple content at least we could use that too. I anticipate we will use a marketing company located in the KC area or Denver area to help with pod casts, videos of farmers and land owners or others.
We would like someone with a lot of experience who work with us, to get this up and running as the MVP in the next two months or whatever timeframe is a quick as we can and still do a good job. This is a bootstrapped situation - we are not going after venture capital, so you will not have to answer to anyone else. We need someone preferably who knows how to handle engineering the system so that we handle issues with slow-downs, web page errors and so on.
This is a virtual off-sight job at this time. As of this time we are spread between Dallas and KC and over to western Kansas.
