Google Maps Developer options

I have a client who has created custom pins all over a Google map representing their locations. They want to give read-only access to the public and be able to filter and search it at a basic level.
We have the map setup in an iframe which works and shows all the pre-set pins, but if the person viewing the website wants to be able to filter the locations, I assume we need some dev work done to achieve this.
We are looking for someone who has experience with Google Maps API and an overall understanding of web development and can help guide us.
