Azure Project VHD Conversion
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are seeking a skilled freelancer to provide step-by-step instructions for installing a VHD controller on Azure. The task involves creating a resource group, setting up storage, uploading VHD files, configuring the network, and starting the instance. The ideal candidate should have experience with Azure, converting between Linux and Windows instances and virtual machine configurations.
I will provide two VHD files, sda is the data drive with two partitions and sdb is the overlay drive. The original VHD files were developed on Linux and migrated so they may need to be converted to run on Azure.
Once it is working, I will be able to see that it is sending messages to the service by checking the last date and time the service heard from it. I should then be able to configure an event and action, download it to the instance, execute it and see the results on the service.
Deliverables:
1) A working instance. There are network requirements to allow our controller code to communicate with our service running on AWS. I will provide the protocols and ports that are required. When successfully implemented, controller will communicate with our backend service and we can see it is connected and can remotely program it.
2) Step-by-step setup instructions using the Azure portal and Powershell commands. Must include any steps or commands needed to convert the raw VHD files.
