Azure Consultant for Accounting Cloud Upgrade

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure consultant to upgrade and modernize our cloud environment for our accounting office.

Business-critical accounting applications ( Sage, CanTax T1 and T2)
Project Objectives
We are looking for an Azure expert to:
Review our existing Azure infrastructure.
Design a modern, secure Azure architecture.
Improve overall security using Azure best practices.
Implement Microsoft security recommendations.
Optimize Azure resources for performance and cost.
Configure identity and access management with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory).
Review networking, firewalls, and VPN configuration.
Implement backup and disaster recovery.
Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Harden Windows Server security.
Apply security baselines and compliance best practices.
Document the new environment and provide knowledge transfer.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure.
Experience designing secure Azure environments.
Azure Virtual Machines.
Azure Virtual Network.
Microsoft Entra ID.
Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
Azure Firewall and Network Security Groups.
PowerShell and Azure CLI.
Experience migrating and upgrading production Azure environments.
Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, or equivalent) are preferred.
Deliverables

Recommended architecture and implementation plan.

Require documentation of all changes and a rollback plan before any production work begins.
If your environment includes Microsoft 365, ask for experience integrating it with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Multi-Factor Authentication.
