Web Database connected with local Microsoft Access
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
We need the following combination of online database and data entry interface from users + a local MS access file.
Online Database and web I terface for data entry
We want to have multiple users to view and edit information for subscribers (names) in a database.
Those users must be able to login on a web page, with a username and password.
All users will see same information. But certain fields, those they will be able to edit, will be visible only to that specific user (and admin). Multiple users must be able to enter data (different) for each subscriber.
User must be able to filter certain columns, search in all fields, hide/show columns.
Online (on web) visible to users, will be only the fields mentioned in table visible)
MS Access (local file)
Administrator must be able to see and edit all after importing with an interface you will create in Microsoft Access (locally)
Administrator must be able to see for each voter the data each user entered for it (multiple users enter multiple data for each voter)
Must be able to force stop entering data to all users online
Must be able to upload the database (from local Microsoft Access) to web and re-enable the ability for entering data to users (online)
When uploading database to web from Local MS Access, have to options. Update (update only changes. Overwrite records in web database), or Replace database on web (delete database on web and reupload from Access).
Administrator must be able to import from Excel files into MS Access database (voters). When importing from excel to MS Access database (locally) then ms access database must be updated with the following rules:
1. When a record doesn’t exist in Access, but exist in Excel, create it
2. When a record exist in Excel and Access (based on field: EL_NO, UPDATED ALL FIELDS FROM EXCEL AND OVERWRITE ACCESS FIELDS except THOSE FIELDS IN Access starting with FINAL_ and user data entries.
3. In excel files there it is possible to exist duplicate entries (based on field EL_NO). In that case remove duplicated and leave the record which has a value (<>NULL) in column TEL1. If none has, then leave any of those.
In Microsoft Access will exist the following tables:
1. Voters (the subscribers – this will be the main database) (ID is autonumber, EL_NO is unique – no duplicates. See access file attached).
2. User (usernames and passwords, for the users to be able to login locally)
3. User_data (the data that each user will enter for each subscriber-voter). As I mentioned above in web, the user must be able to see and edit only those fields for each voter.
4. FINAL-PARTY, FINAL-_VOTE, FINAL_VOTE_CERT serve as lookup tables (see access file attached)
If more tables needed to be created you can do it.
Not all relationships are created in MS Access file. You have to make them as needed.
Reports, queries etc. will be created from administrator locally only. No need to view them online (reports and queries).
We will give you access to a cpanel for the database and web interface
We are open to any suggestion as far as the outcome will be the same.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in database development, particularly web databases and Microsoft Access.
- Strong skills in designing and implementing data visualization features.
- Understanding of user interface design and experience with creating customer-facing interfaces.
Must be completed in 2-4 days
