Synchronize node text in Freeplane with corresponding data in a relational database (initially MS Access)

In Freeplane, one can add attributes to nodes. The solution is that one shall be able to state connection data - Database (URL/Filepath), Table, Row (by a row-unique RowId attribute), Column/Attribute - in such a node attribute and make the node text to be synced - in both directions - with a database. To do this, Freeplane uses Groovy scripts.
This database is today a MS Access application (accdb) which is the needed initially solution. However, I would like to have a generic solution for any database. I guess that would only differ in different drivers.
