Database Consultant for PM System Design
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
Consultant Required – Project Database Management System Design & Strategy
We are seeking a project database management consultant to help define and implement a scalable, secure, and efficient system for organizing, managing, and retrieving project-related data across multiple projects and departments.
This will be a consultancy assignment focused on defining:
Optimal structure for database.
Recommended tools (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, SQL, Airtable, Notion, etc.)
Integration with file storage platforms (e.g., OneDrive, Google Drive)
Permissions and access control
Search and retrieval methodology
Backup and redundancy strategy
Automation recommendations (e.g., using n8n, Zapier, etc.)
Evaluate current file/document/project data storage methods.
Propose a centralized or hybrid system for storing:
Project documents (PDF, DOCX, XLSX)
Meeting minutes
Invoices, approvals, and submittals
Email agreements and correspondence
Project schedules
Create a logical folder/database architecture.
Recommend metadata tagging and document naming conventions.
Suggest ways to automate reporting, tracking, and auditing.
Detailed proposal document outlining the recommended database structure.
Tool comparison matrix with pros/cons and estimated costs.
High-level workflow diagram showing data flow and access.
Optional: Pilot implementation or prototype (depending on duration/skills).
Experience in project management tools or project-based environments.
Familiarity with data architecture and cloud storage integration.
Strong documentation and presentation skills.
Experience with automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, etc.) is a plus.
Expected duration: 1–2 weeks (initial consultancy)
Follow-up implementation (separate contract if needed)
