Create Access DB

I have a table of Systems (about 50-200 undersea cable systems) that I would like to be managed in a MSAccess DB.



I would like the DB to allow others within my company to enter data, but not allow them to change how the DB works.



The basic table has the following fields:

System Name - text
Lead Companies – one or more companies for a list of valid companies
Project Description – long text
Supplier – one or more companies from a list of suppliers
Region – one region from a static list of regions (e.g., Atlantic, Pacific, Mediterranean)
Countries – one or more countries from a list of valid countries
Length - number
Status – a status indicator from a static list (e.g., Awarded, Signed, Proposed, etc.)
Likelihood – number
Notes – long text
Last Contact – automatically generated dated of last entry for this System


There should be forms for:

Adding a new system
Adding Lead Companies
Adding a Supplier


Reports available should be:

List of Systems with filters available, e.g., only for one Supplier or, e.g., with a Lead Company involved.
Shortcut for a List of all Systems
Shortcut for all Systems not in the Proposed state
Report showing the sum of the lengths of Systems summarized by Supplier
Athis report should be in 2 versions: 1) summing the lengths, and, 2) summing the length as weighted by Likelihood
