Build a small database

I need a small database to store data for my college. The data I would like to store is details of publications, industrial visits, guest lectures, faculty lists, reports of college events etc. At present all this information is being stored in Excel/google sheets and hard copies are being filed. I would like to make all this paperless. Some people are to be give rights to adding data and others for viewing the data and querying it.
