We are a retail business ending our subscription to a cloud-based POS system. We have exported our full sales history, product catalog, and customer list in Excel and CSV formats.
We are looking for a freelancer to help us build a user-friendly Microsoft Access database (Office 365 version) that enables us to:
* Preserve and manage sales history
* Easily search and view customer purchase records
* Support future marketing segmentation

### **Data Available (Excel/CSV):**
* Sales Transactions (date, items, quantity, price, payment type, etc.)
* Customer List (name, contact details, customer ID)
* Product Catalog (product ID, name, category, price)

### **Scope of Work:**
1. Import the provided Excel/CSV files into a new Microsoft Access database
2. Set up relational tables:
* Customers linked to Sales
* Sales linked to Products (optionally via a join table)
3. Create simple queries such as:
* Search sales by customer
* Filter sales by date, category, or product
* Identify customers with no recent purchases
4. (Optional) Build forms for user-friendly search and manual updates
5. Provide a short guide or screen-recorded walkthrough for how to use the database and update data in the future

For privacy reasons, we will only provide **sample CSV/Excel files** for development. Once the structure and functionality are confirmed, we will import the real data internally.
