MS Access Database Difficulties

I've been experiencing some difficulties with my MS Access database. Error messages appear indicating missing or broken files namely, ‘MSCAL.OCX’ version 7.0 and ‘AcroPDF.dll’ version 1.0. Some occur as soon as I try to open the application. No recent changes have been made to my computer's operating system or the MS Access software.
