MS Access Database
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need someone to create a database in Microsoft Access for my family business. If it works well there will be other jobs in the future for you. All data for the completion of this project is available in either pdf and or excel.
The complete specifics will be given to the successful candidate, otherwise, I am making rough generalised statements. We produce around 40 different product styles, each having around 26 different sizes in each style. Each style is offered in roughly 8 differing materials. Ie the average product we have has around 208 line items. Roughly 9,000 individual items overall.
I want to be able to compare each line item I offer against my competitor's equivalent product, and then against my cost of goods sold. It would be ideal to have some generic analysis reports in access, otherwise, a report to spool requested data into excel, for a better analysis.
The system needs to be able to hold all data in it, and be updated easily enough by me as our costs increase/decrease, or as competitors' prices change. As our industry releases a new pricelist annually or biannually, it would be ideal to hold each version of competitors' prices and compare it for a more holistic analysis.
I have attached below some sample data (not actual data), as well as what I am currently doing in excel (I would like the access database to be much better than my crappy excel document, and to grow as I grow).
One important aspect is if there is any area where we lose money or are cheaper than a competitor, it should be flagged in a report, that I can look at and amend/approve.
