SharePoint Intranet & Docs Setup

Job ID: 40244057

Budget: $50 – $0 CAD

I’m preparing to roll out a new SharePoint environment that will serve two purposes at once: solid document management and a simple but engaging intranet. I already have Microsoft 365 in place; what I’m missing is a well-planned site architecture and the actual configuration work.

Document Management
Right now there is no clear library or metadata structure. I want guidance on how to design the hierarchy and then have you build it so that storing, finding, and maintaining files is effortless. Version history, sensible permission levels, and straightforward approval flows should be baked in from day one.

Intranet Features
I need three core pages (or web parts) up and running:
• News & Announcements – easy for our comms team to post updates
• Employee Directory – searchable, ideally pulling from Azure AD
• Event Calendar – a clean view of upcoming company events that users can add to Outlook

Deliverables
• Information architecture plan covering both document libraries and intranet pages
• Configured SharePoint site with the items above fully working in our tenant
• Brief hand-off session (recorded) so my team understands how to maintain everything

If you’ve set up similar dual-purpose SharePoint sites before and are comfortable working directly in Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Online, I’d love to see your approach and timeline.
