Hardened Azure Virtual Desktop Setup
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I need a fully secured Azure Virtual Desktop environment stood up within the next two–three weeks. The workspace will be used for general office tasks and must ship with the complete Microsoft 365 stack I rely on every day—Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint—already installed, licensed, and optimised.
Security is the heart of this build. Clipboard sharing, file downloads or uploads, local drive mapping and any other path that could leak data have to be blocked at the session level. Users should only be able to work inside the cloud boundary, while administrators retain the controls necessary for image management, patching, and policy enforcement. On top of that lockdown, I want a clearly defined backup and disaster-recovery plan so that profiles, data and configuration can be restored quickly if something goes wrong.
Because this desktop estate will handle sensitive information, I will be asking you to:
• Design the AVD architecture (host pools, networking, identity, and storage)
• Deploy Microsoft 365 apps exactly as listed above and confirm activation
• Implement the no-copy, no-download, no-local-access policies and verify they work end to end
• Configure automated backups and document a tested recovery procedure
• Hand over build documentation and an operations run-book
I’m happy to structure payments as fixed milestones tied to each of those outcomes and there is scope for ongoing support once the environment is live. If you have recent, demonstrable experience hardening AVD environments to a zero-leak standard, I’d like to hear how you would approach the build and any tooling—Intune, Azure AD Conditional Access, FSLogix or others—you would bring to the project.
