Boost Microsoft Secure Score
Budget: $10 – $100 USD
My organization’s Microsoft 365 Secure Score has fallen below the threshold I am comfortable with, and the dashboard is flagging multiple items across Identity and Access Management, Device Management, and Information Protection. The report also highlights gaps in app configuration, user permissions, quarantine handling, and a few miscellaneous issues.
The objective is two-fold: tighten overall security posture and eliminate any Secure Score findings that might be hurting email deliverability. I have full admin access ready, along with recent Secure Score export and activity logs.
Key focus areas
• Identity & Access: MFA enforcement, conditional access, privileged role reviews
• Device Management: Intune baselines, patch compliance, endpoint hardening
• Information Protection: DLP, sensitivity labels, data retention settings
• Apps & Permissions: OAuth app governance, least-privilege corrections
• Quarantines & Misc.: Policy tuning, false-positive analysis, backlog cleanup
Deliverables
1. A prioritized remediation plan based on the current Secure Score report.
2. Implementation or step-by-step guidance for every recommended fix.
3. A brief knowledge-transfer session (video or written) so my team can maintain the improvements.
4. Post-remediation Secure Score snapshot showing measurable uplift.
All work should be performed natively in the Microsoft 365 portal using tools such as Security Center, Compliance Center, Intune, Defender, and PowerShell where appropriate.
I have also included an Excel File detailing the recommended issues and changes from the Microsoft Defender Portal, exported directly from the Defender Portal.
