Raspberry Pi LCD Touch Screen Relay Controller
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for an expert in Raspberry Pi programming to develop a controller program for an LCD touch screen relay system.
This is for a low-cost aftermarket prototype to control aftermarket automotive accessories focused on first responders POV vehicles but could be applied to larger markets.

Key Features:
-FAST boot up for emergency responders
-The system is to control lights, sirens, and other aftermarket accessories.
- The relay controller should be able to control relay switches and take user input from a touch screen.
- The user interface on the touch screen needs to be a combination of both graphical interface with icons and a text-based menu.
- The system needs to control up to 48 relays using GPIO pins off a Raspberry Pi, with the help of a MCP23017.
Ideal Skills:
- Extensive experience with Raspberry Pi and relay controller programming or microcontrollers.
- Proven ability to create user-friendly, interactive touch screen interfaces.
- Experience working with MCP23017 and GPIO pins.
- Strong understanding of both graphical and text-based interface design.
More project details and ideas:
- hardware preference would be a 5" or 7" resistive touch screen user interface.
-four graphic screens with different relay options on each and a fifth settings screen.
-lower right corner of each screen would have a graphic of the vehicle and status of accessories (like when the light bar is on the light bar would be highlighted).
-right side of screen would have brightness up & down buttons, and possibly a day/night mode or color change button.
-looking for a fast boot up so building a custom OS gui or changing hardware to microcontrollers are on the table.
-optional small button graphic animation would be nice.
