Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I'm in need of an expert who can design a GPS trucking unit to help enhance my business operations. The three main purposes of this GPS trucking unit will be to:
- Monitor the efficiency of a fleet
- Help ensure the safety of drivers
- Optimize logistics and delivery processes
I can't emphasize enough that real-time tracking, geofencing, and alerts for route deviations are essential to the functionality of the GPS trucking unit, though those items were accidentally left out in the initial survey questions.
As for what successful freelancers should include in their application, I neglected to include this detail earlier. Please provide:
- A detailed project proposal outlining your approach to the project and proposed timeline
- Proof of experience with developing similar GPS systems
- Examples, links, or case studies of past work related to GPS system development
Experience in the development of GPS units with the specified features is a huge plus, as is any experience in vehicle tracking systems or fleet management.

This is a two part project.
Create the physical GPS tracker in it's entirety.
1. Utilize the Arduino Nano micro-controller "No-exception"
2. Provide GPS loaded software on Nano with power already applied and enclosed in a weather proof enclosure that can withstand extreme temperatures
3. Develop an app that uses internet to track this and any additional created GPS trackers. This app has to be able to track the GPS unit anywhere, no bluetooth.
4. Provide blueprints, methods, vendors, and training to build physical GPS tracker and training upon product delivery.
This is an all-inclusive project. I want to patent this whole design and use for my trucking company. Please provide solutions and timeframe to complete project.
