Code adaptation from PIC to ESP32 + MQTT communication
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
There is an existing product (programmable room thermostat). The existing product was realized with a PIC16F1947. The following 2 tasks have to be done:
1. source code adaptation
The hardware was changed from PIC to ESP32. The source code has to be adapted to the ESP32 platform. This also concerns the 5 touch keys, the new LCD display controller etc. The code of the PIC MCU was programmed in MPLAB X IDE and is provided for reference purposes.
2. add remote control via MQTT
Expectation: every parameter of the room thermostat will be published and can be changed via MQTT after WiFi connection could be established. WiFi credentials must be entered via an Access Point, similar to Tasmota.
The new hardware prototype with the ESP32 will be sent to you for development purposes after consultation.
