TradingView Pine script help needed

Project Title: TradingView Pine script - Indicator Modification
I have an indicator and it's 55 lines of code, so pretty simple. It paints arrows up or down up as long as conditions are met.
During a current bar, it will show the arrow, until the condition is no longer met then the arrow will disappear. What I would like it to do is to show some other symbol, when the condition fails for a bar.
