Scalable MERN Web Application
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
My concept blends an online store, a social-style community, and an information hub into one cohesive platform. Everything will run on the MERN stack—MongoDB for data, Express and Node.js for the API layer, and React on the front end—so the codebase stays fully JavaScript and easy to scale.
Scope
• Build a secure user account system (registration, login, password reset, role-based access)
• Stream real-time notifications with WebSockets or Socket.IO so users see updates instantly
• Craft a full admin dashboard to manage users, products, posts, and analytics
• Design a pixel-perfect, responsive interface from scratch—no premade templates—while keeping performance in mind
• Structure clean, well-documented code and reusable components for future expansion
• Deploy the finished app on a cloud service (AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar) with CI/CD in place
Acceptance Criteria
1. All three core modules—e-commerce, social feed, and informational pages—load in under two seconds on a 4G connection.
2. Authentication protects every restricted route, with JWT stored securely and refresh handled seamlessly.
3. Notifications appear in real time across at least two simultaneous sessions without page refresh.
4. The admin dashboard updates data live and can export basic reports in CSV.
5. No critical or high-severity issues flagged by Lighthouse or OWASP ZAP on final review.
Hand-over will include the full Git repository, environment samples, and a concise README detailing setup and deployment instructions. Once these items meet the acceptance criteria above, the project is considered complete and ready for launch.
