MERN Stack Hostel Management System
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need a full-featured web-based Hostel Management System developed using the MERN stack. The system should automate and manage daily hostel operations such as student registration, room allocation, fee tracking, complaints, attendance, and administrative controls. The platform must include separate roles for Admin, Warden, and Students with proper authentication and authorization.
The Admin dashboard should allow managing rooms (add/edit/delete rooms, capacity, occupancy status), student records, warden accounts, fee structures, and payment records. It must also generate reports such as occupied rooms, vacant rooms, pending fees, and monthly collections. Room allocation should be dynamic — admin can assign, transfer, or vacate rooms and the system should automatically update availability.
The Student panel should allow profile management, viewing room details, checking fee status, submitting complaints, viewing notices, and checking attendance. The Warden panel should handle complaint resolution, mark attendance, and monitor students. A notice board module must be included where admin can publish announcements visible to all users.
Authentication must be implemented using JWT (JSON Web Token) with role-based access control. The backend should provide REST APIs with proper validation and error handling. The frontend must be responsive and user-friendly with dashboards, tables, filters, and search functionality. All data must be stored in MongoDB with an optimized schema design.
Additional features include email notifications for fee reminders, complaint updates, and password reset functionality. The project should follow clean code practices, modular structure, and proper folder organization for scalability.
Note: Deployment is NOT required. Only complete source code and proper setup instructions are needed.
