The ideal candidate will assess the current codebase, identify technical debt and improvement areas, and implement enhancements to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.

Conduct a full code review of the existing MERN stack application
Identify bugs, security issues, performance bottlenecks, and architectural gaps
Provide clear recommendations and a refactoring plan
Implement Version 2 updates, including:
Code refactoring and optimization
Feature enhancements and improvements
Performance and scalability upgrades
Security and best-practice improvements
Ensure clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical changes with business goals
-Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior MERN Stack Developer
Strong proficiency in:
MongoDB (schema design, optimization)
Express.js & Node.js (APIs, middleware, architecture)
React.js (hooks, state management, performance tuning)
Experience reviewing and refactoring large or legacy codebases
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, and security best practices
Familiarity with version control (Git) and modern development workflows
Ability to work independently and provide clear technical feedback

Experience leading or upgrading applications to new major versions
Knowledge of cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, or similar)
Experience with testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
