MERN Stack Dev for AI Healthcare
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m expanding a clinician-facing SaaS platform that uses AI to enhance patient care, and I need a seasoned MERN developer to keep our product moving quickly from prototype to production. The core AI models are already built and running in our cloud environment; your task is to tighten the integration between those services and a robust, user-friendly web application built with MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js.
You will work side-by-side with our data-science team to expose existing inference endpoints, surface results in the UI, and ensure every new feature meets HIPAA-friendly security and performance standards. Expect to navigate a code-base that already uses Redux Toolkit, TypeScript, Docker, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD; familiarity with GraphQL and AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudWatch) will be a plus because many of our microservices rely on them.
Key deliverables
• Clean, well-tested React components that present AI-generated insights to clinicians in real time
• Secure Express/Node APIs that proxy or extend existing AI endpoints without leaking PHI
• MongoDB queries and schemas that respect our current data-model while remaining migration-friendly
• Pull requests with meaningful commit history, unit tests, and passing GitHub Action pipelines
Acceptance criteria
✅ Frontend renders AI results in <500 ms round-trip under staged load
✅ All new endpoints achieve 100 % statement coverage in Jest
✅ No critical or high vulnerabilities reported by npm-audit on merge
If you love writing clean MERN code and have shipped at least one AI-enabled healthcare product before, I’d love to review your recent work and discuss next steps.
