MERN Smart Classroom Platform -- 2
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,100 INR
I’m building a full-featured smart classroom web app on the MERN stack and need someone to take it from concept to a polished, deployable product. The platform will serve three distinct roles—Student, Teacher and Admin—and everything you build should respect their separate dashboards, permissions and data views.
Core features I must see working end-to-end
• Assignment submissions with file upload, status tracking and teacher feedback.
• Real-time chat (class-wide and 1-to-1) using sockets or an equivalent live messaging layer.
• MCQ exam engine: teachers create/edit/delete timed exams; students sit the exam, can submit early, or the system submits automatically when the timer expires.
• Result analytics: after grading, each student sees a chart or graph of performance history per exam.
• Online attendance: teachers mark presence; data rolls into each student’s record.
• Fee module: students (and Admin) can view fee collection status and history.
• Admin console to manage every student and teacher record, plus aggregated reporting.
All individuals are sign up first then log in
Tech expectations
React (with hooks), Node.js/Express, MongoDB, JWT-based auth, and a clean REST or GraphQL API. Feel free to recommend Socket.io, Redux Toolkit, or charting libraries like Chart.js/Recharts if they speed development without bloat.
Deliverables
1. Fully functional source code organised by service/front-end folders.
2. Seed data and clear setup instructions so I can spin it up locally with `npm install && npm run dev`.
3. A concise README covering architecture, environment variables and deployment steps.
I will test by creating users in each role, running an exam through its full lifecycle, and verifying real-time chat and analytics graphs render correctly. If this sounds like your kind of build, let’s get started.
