MERN Job Portal Typescript Tailwind
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
1. Overview
We need a mid-scope job portal web application built using the MERN stack — MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js — fully written in TypeScript and styled exclusively with Tailwind CSS.
The application will provide a clean, modern, and responsive interface for job seekers and employers, following strong coding standards and best practices.
2. Technical Stack
Frontend: React (with Vite or Next.js — developer’s choice)
Backend: Express.js
Database: MongoDB (Mongoose ORM)
Language: TypeScript (strict mode throughout)
Styling: Tailwind CSS (no external UI component libraries)
Version Control: Git (granular and meaningful commits)
Code Quality: ESLint + Prettier enforced across the project
3. Frontend Requirements
Developed using modular and reusable components.
Fully responsive for all screen sizes (desktop, tablet, mobile).
Follows the provided Figma design precisely.
Implements clean, maintainable Tailwind utility classes (no custom CSS unless absolutely necessary).
Integrate with backend via RESTful APIs.
Proper error handling, form validation, and state management (Context API or Redux Toolkit).
4. Backend Requirements
RESTful API architecture built using Express + TypeScript.
Integration with MongoDB using Mongoose.
Includes:
Authentication & Authorization (JWT or similar)
CRUD endpoints for Jobs, Companies, and Users
Role-based access (Admin, Employer, Job Seeker)
Well-structured folder hierarchy and proper error handling middleware.
Logging and environment configuration using .env files.
5. Development Standards
Every file written in TypeScript (no JS files).
Strict adherence to ESLint and Prettier coding standards.
Consistent commit messages following a clear commit convention (e.g., Conventional Commits).
Proper documentation (README, API docs, and setup guide).
Code review-friendly structure with meaningful component and function naming.
6. Project Deliverables
Fully functional MERN-based job portal (frontend + backend).
Hosted live on a production server (e.g., Vercel + Render / AWS / DigitalOcean).
Source code repository (GitHub/GitLab) with clear instructions for local setup.
Deployment pipelines (CI/CD optional but preferred).
7. Design & Hosting
Figma design is already provided.
Hosting and deployment included as part of the deliverables (final URLs to be shared after deployment).
8. Post-Launch Support
1-year technical support after delivery, covering:
Bug fixes
Minor feature additions or adjustments based on feedback
Deployment support as needed
