Openai API in MERN chat app

I am looking to integrate OpenAI API into a MERN chat app. Specifically, I'm looking to incorporate chatbot capabilities. No particular style of interaction is required for the chatbot — though ideally it should be feasible to switch between friendly and casual or professional and formal styles in the future.
