M&A Advisor for Small Businesses
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
We are seeking an experienced M&A Advisor for a 3-month mission, capable of handling multiple clients simultaneously. You will be working with U.S.-based businesses, focusing on acquisition deals ranging from $250k to $5M.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients throughout the acquisition process, from deal structuring to closing.
- Work closely with a financial advisor to provide comprehensive support.
- Communicate effectively with clients’ attorneys, CPAs, and potentially tax advisors to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Handle multiple client deals simultaneously, providing timely and professional communication.
Core Competencies & Skills:
- M&A Deal Structuring
- Strong ability to structure and manage acquisition deals in the $250k to $5M range.
- Familiarity with creative financing solutions, such as SBA loans, and the ability to adapt strategies to each deal.
Client Communication
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and guide them through the acquisition process.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex financial details and keep multiple clients informed at all stages.
- Collaboration with Advisors
- Proven experience working alongside financial advisors to provide seamless M&A advisory services.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients' legal teams (attorneys), CPAs, and potentially tax advisors.
Due Diligence & Risk Mitigation
- Experience in conducting or supporting due diligence, ensuring the business is thoroughly vetted for financial, operational, and legal risks.
- Ability to identify potential risks and help clients mitigate them, ensuring the acquisition is strategically sound.
Strategic Fit and Value Creation
- Ability to assess whether a business acquisition aligns with the client’s strategic goals.
- Guide clients in identifying post-acquisition opportunities for growth, efficiency, and value creation.
- Negotiation & Problem-Solving
- Strong negotiation skills to help secure favorable terms for the clients.
- Ability to balance the needs of both buyer and seller to reach mutually beneficial solutions.
Organizational & Technical Skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems, project management software, and tools to manage timelines and documentation.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage deal flow and client interactions efficiently.
Experience in Relevant Deal Sizes
- Requirement: The candidate must have previous experience working on deals within the $250k to $5M range.
- Familiarity with U.S. business practices, regulations, and market conditions is highly preferred.
