Upscale Fusion Café Menu Design
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I’m developing a very upscale café concept and now need a complete breakfast-and-lunch menu built around a Mediterranean-American & Asion fusion profile. Think bright mezze flavours meeting classic American comfort, finished with subtle Asian twists that feel fresh rather than gimmicky.
Breakfast is our opening act, so I want elevated favourites—signature benedicts, fluffy pancakes with a za’atar-spiked compote, maybe a miso-maple granola bowl—followed by a lunch section centred on healthy bowls, vibrant salads, and gourmet sandwiches. A few items in each category must be clearly marked gluten-free and vegan; I’m not chasing a fully free-from card, but I want customers with those needs to feel instantly catered to.
The space is polished, design-forward, and intimate, so each dish has to plate beautifully without turning the pass into a bottleneck. Seasonal, easily sourced ingredients and sensible food cost percentages are non-negotiable; I’ll need basic costings alongside the recipes.
Deliverables (PDF or Google Doc):
• Full menu copy organised by section, with concise dish descriptions.
• Recipe outlines per item: ingredients, prep method, portion size, and plating notes.
• Costing sheet showing food cost % per dish and per category.
• Dietary and allergen flags for every item.
Hand-off is complete when the menu reads well, flows visually, and every recipe has an accompanying costing line. If you’re comfortable collaborating on refinements after an initial draft, mention that in your proposal.
