UE5 Horror Game Menu & UI Overhaul
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Unreal Engine 5 Menu Integration + Horror-Themed UI Customization
⸻
ViaJob Description:
I’m developing a horror survival game in Unreal Engine 5, and I need someone to integrate a main menu system I’ve already purchased from Fab (Unreal Marketplace) into my game project.
The goal is to make this menu fully functional, visually customized to match the game’s theme, and ensure that it cleanly loads into my actual gameplay map.
⸻
What You’ll Do:
Step 1: Menu Setup & Integration
• Create a new MainMenu level in my UE5 project.
• Add and hook up the existing UI widget from the Fab-purchased menu system.
• Set it as the startup level for the game.
• Ensure Start Game loads the correct level (Asylum_Main).
• Wire up Quit Game and any other standard buttons.
• Set mouse input and UI mode so buttons are clickable on launch.
Step 2: Horror-Themed UI Customization
• Create or modify the UI design to match a dark, gritty, military horror aesthetic:
• Blood-stained buttons
• Film grain overlays
• Gritty soldier character preview
• Custom background image or animated menu screen
• Fonts that match the theme (e.g., distressed, tactical, analog)
• Replace any placeholder assets with custom visuals (can be designed from scratch or from royalty-free sources).
• Apply sound effects on button hover/click (if possible).
⸻
Assets I’ll Provide:
• The menu system already downloaded and imported from Fab.
• My gameplay map (Asylum_Main) to load into.
• Style references for horror UI (blood, grain, etc.) — or you can design creatively based on my vibe.
• Optional: my placeholder soldier image for the character preview.
⸻
Future Opportunities (If This Goes Well):
• Inventory UI setup and customization
• Loading screen system
• Multiplayer host/join menu
• In-game pause menu and HUD
