Medical Review single photograph of injury for court filing
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am accused of child abuse in a non-criminal action to take custody of my child from me. The entire action relies on a single photograph of my two-year-old sons buttocks, taken by the child’s mother with a cell phone. The picture shows redness on his buttocks. If you look very closely in the reddened area you can see some small white spots. I am fearful that these white spots may be understood by the judge to be some sort of welts or swelling or something, because the judge is a lay person when it comes to understanding and interpreting injuries from a photo. My wife did not Ever take the child to any medical facility, nor did she ever take any other photographs of my boys buttocks. Because this happened almost 2 years ago, and my wife never reported it to the police, and never took my boy in to the doctor anytime soon there after, the photo is the only evidence against me. I believe that the injury only shows temporary redness of the skin. Further, after looking online at various photos from medical websites showing photos of welts, and other types of irritations to the skin, I believe that the white spots on my sons buttocks were more likely the result of diaper rash or hives or some other skin irritation unrelated to the single solitary openhanded swat that I gave to him while he had his diaper on. I want to establish that the photo seems to clearly show only temporary redness of the skin, and that it cannot be clearly established what the white spots are judging solely from the photo. My son had terrible diaper rash around this time, and I would like to establish that my son’s recent diaper rash caused his skin to be easily irritated and thus easily reddened. I further would like to establish that my sons very light skin makes it more likely that a temporary reddening of the skin would appear after a spanking than for instance A very dark skinned child. I would like to establish that my son’s lack of melanin (he is very light skinned) makes temporary redness of the skin much easier to see than a child with a very high concentration of melanin in their skin (a dark skinned person). From what I understand and have observed throughout my life, the darker a person’s skin is, the less redness will be visible.
I need a written review of the photo by a Doctor or nurse, or some other medical professional. The written review must state the qualifications of the person doing the review, and it would be quite helpful if it would be signed under the penalty of perjury, as we are going to submit this asan attachment along with a court filing.
