Looking for an AI/ML Collaborator for a Dental Health Project
Hi everyone!
I’m currently pursuing my MDS in Periodontology and working on an innovative research project involving artificial intelligence for dental plaque detection using clinical images.
Project Goal:
To develop a CNN-based model that can identify and classify dental plaque from intraoral photographs — potentially useful for digital diagnosis, oral hygiene monitoring, and patient education.
What I Need:
A collaborator proficient in:
• Computer Vision / Deep Learning (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Image classification (preferably in healthcare)
• Helping build and evaluate a basic CNN or transfer learning model
I’ll provide:
• Clinical images (de-identified)
• Labelled datasets
• Domain expertise and clinical validation
• Full credit / co-authorship in research papers and presentations
Open to working with:
Students, researchers, developers, or AI enthusiasts who are passionate about AI in healthcare or dental tech innovation.
