Spanish Medical Research Translation

Job ID: 39866824

Budget: £750 – £1,500 GBP

I’m looking for a native-level Spanish linguist who is equally comfortable with advanced medical terminology and academic writing. The job centers on a set of technical research papers: each must be rendered into polished, publication-ready Spanish while preserving every nuance of the original data, methodology, and conclusions.

Scope of work
• Translate full manuscripts, abstracts, tables, and figure captions with complete accuracy.
• Where sections need rewriting for clarity in Spanish, craft original text that still mirrors the source findings and tone.
• Cross-check terminology against standard medical vocabularies (MeSH, MedDRA) and include a small bilingual glossary for any highly specialized terms.
• Apply the target journal’s style guide for citations, headings, and references (e.g., Vancouver).
• Perform a final in-context proofread so the papers are ready for peer review.

What I’ll provide
• Editable source files (Word and PDF) plus any existing figures.
• Reference materials and previously published related work for consistency.

What I expect back
1. Clean Spanish manuscript in Word or LaTeX.
2. Marked-up version showing all changes.
3. Short terminology glossary.

An ideal partner masters CAT tools such as SDL Trados or memoQ, uses reference managers like EndNote or Zotero, and has proven experience translating or authoring medical research. If this sounds like your wheelhouse, let’s discuss volume, milestones, and turnaround times.
