Secure pre-event press coverage in three cities (New York, Toronto and Baltimore) for upcoming Rides FAR bicycling events which raise money for autism research.

Job ID: 36999353

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I'm looking for experienced PR professionals with knowledge of financial services and the financial press to help secure press coverage in New York, Toronto and Baltimore for upcoming Rides FAR bicycling events. These events are supported by the financial services industry in each city. The rides raise money for the Autism Science Foundation which funds critically-needed autism research. We are hoping to get started right away, leading up to the events on September 30, in order to optimize our exposure and public awareness of the events. Our goal is to encourage people to attend the event, as well as to publicize the good work of our sponsoring companies. You can learn more about the events at ridesfar.org

We are looking for press coverage specifically in local newspapers, online news websites, radio stations, and local TV in all three cities. Part of this job will require creative problem solving to identify those media outlets that would be suitable for the coverage in each of the cities and achieving the desired results. Each ride is chaired by a very prominent member of that city's financial services community and in the past we have done well with the financial press. In past years, each event chair has been interviewed in local media and been interviewed on local radio. We need someone to reach out to media organizations and set up these interviews.

We will need reports on the progress made, and the press coverage achieved.

We look forward to hearing from you if you can help us accomplish our goal of garnering press coverage in the three cities we have identified. If you have prior experience with this type of work, we would love to review your portfolio and any press coverage you have generated in the past.

This is an urgent job, and successful applicants will have the opportunity to help support a great cause. Thanks for considering this request!
