London News, Theatre and Entertainment Media Coverage Generation

Job ID: 38187794

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

The project is 'Ain't I A Woman?' a unique theatrical initiative consisting of 5 short plays examining the intersection of race and gender; written, directed and produced by black women, on stage at Tower Theatre, Stoke Newington, London, from 10 to 20 July 2024.

I'm looking for a seasoned public relations professional who can help in generating media coverage, typically previews and mentions of Ain't I A Woman? ahead of the run, and reviews further to the press night on 11 July 2024.

The main goal is to raise awareness of Ain't I A Woman?, specifically compelling our customers (black women aged 16+) in London, to buy ticket to come and see Ain't I A Woman? so that we sell out every performance.

Key responsibilities and ideal skills are:

- Extensive experience and established connections with London news, theatre and entertainment outlets, specifically Channel 4 News, Capital Radio, Capital Extra, Choice FM, Time Out London, Metro and Evening Standard.
- Proven track record in generating high-quality media placements

Your primary task will be to pitch Ain't I A Woman? to the London news, theatre and entertainment media and secure media coverage.
