Mechatronics Engineer for Consumer Product Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are a dynamic startup focused on developing a sleek and compact lifestyle product with multi-mode functionality. We are seeking an experienced Mechatronics Design Engineer or a small product development team to bring our innovative concept to life. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical design, embedded systems, and consumer-grade electronics integration.
Key Requirements:
- Design and develop a capacitive fold-detection sensor system
- Ensure the sensor system supports multifunctional detection
- Prioritize high sensitivity and low power consumption in the sensor design
- Engage in consumer product prototyping and Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in mechatronics engineering, particularly in consumer products
- Strong background in mechanical design and embedded systems
- Expertise in integrating consumer-grade electronics
- Familiarity with capacitive sensor technology and its applications
- Ability to prototype and prepare designs for manufacturing
Design should be inspired by fold detection methods described in relevant U.S. patents (e.g., capacitive sensor-based folding detection like US10877560B2), without infringing on existing IP.
