I need help figuring out the best way to propel a flat bottom boat
Its a 22' x8' 4x4 Rv that floats. Its built using a 91 GMC 4x4 2500 long bed.
Im trying to calculate horse power / thrust/ propeller type/ and more. Id like to use the existing 350 hp engine that has the typical drive shaft and rear end axle that drives the tires but cant figure out a way to do that. Ive seen rear end axles for dual drive rear ends with the extended shaft built in but not sure about gear changes needed to match the front dana 60 axle.
Ive looked at hydraulic gear motors, out boards, electric submersible motors and all will work but I need to better dial it in that is cost effective.
If this is out of your field can you guide me to someone who can help?
