Plastic slicer project
Goal:
create a plastic slicer that is hand cranked. It should be simple enough that any mechanic or any welder anywhere in the world can build with locally available material. A mechanic or welder should be able to fabricate and build one unit in 8 hours.
The plastic slicer should accept plastics up to 150mm wide without folding
Able to clamp down to a table
Hand cranked at a rate of one meter of plastic sliced every 15 seconds.
8 mill thick is maximum the slicer needs to accept but should slice any thickness less than that
Width for each slice is 5 mm..so potentially 30 slices per sheet
The crank should have a clutch so if the rollers or cutters jamb because of too thickof material or a rock or piece of metal the user will not be able to damage the machine
ALL the slicing blades should be able to be removed within 1 minute and removed to sharpened…and put back in under a minute
