Vacuum and Solenoid System Configuration
Budget: $30 – $300 USD
I have an engineering issue. I have 1 vacuum pump. The air can go in one side and out the other side. Then I have up to 8 or 9 solenoid valves. The less the better but use as many as necessary. The solenoid valves allow air through in one direction. When there is no power to the solenoid it is closed so no air can travel through in either direction. When it is powered then the valve is open and air can travel through in one direction.
I have 4 sources to receive and move air to and from.
1. The room air. So air will go into the room and in one function it will take air from the room.
2. Sauna. The sauna will inflate with air and deflate.
3. Retainer. The Retainer is a bag that will hold air in it. It will receive air and give air to the sauna.
There are 4 functions.
1. Vacuum air out of the Sauna (air goes just into the room)
2. Inflate Retainer to Sauna. So air travels from Retainer to Sauna.
3. Sauna to Retainer. Air travels from Sauna to Retainer.
4. Room air to Sauna. Air travels from Sauna to room air.
So there is one vacuum pump and the solenoids are connected via tubing through which air travels. I need to know how to structure the solenoids to the vacuum and to each other. For each of the 4 functions the vacuum/pump turns on and moves air in one direction. Certain solenoids turn on based on where we want to move the air.
Please help me structure the solenoids and tubing to allow for all functions to happen in this system. Create a diagram for me of where the solenoids, tubing and connectors should go. I've made some failed attempts which I have attached.
