Stress Analysis of Aluminum Pressure Vessel

Job ID: 38274897

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

Hello,

I'm in need of a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) expert to conduct a stress analysis on 4 alternative designs of an aluminum 6061-T6 pressure vessel at 3 different pressure levels of 200, 300, and 500 bar. The size of the vessel will be similar to a Scuba Tank. This is not a large pressure vessel.

Key Details:
The goal is to calculate the material stress across the surfaces and cross sections for comparison purposes for those conditions.

From the results of the analysis, we will run additional iterations of dimensions to review the results and see how that impacts the outcome.

The base material will be 6061-T6 Aluminum, and then iterations will involve carbon-fiber-winding and thickness modifications to stay within yield and UTS within a SCF of 2.

The design is currently not in a CAD program. It is assumed that the first step would be to get the design into a CAD program that is integrated with FEA.

On your proposal / response, please indicate the following:

Have you worked on pressure vessels before?
Do you have experience with Aluminum alloys?
Do you have experience with Carbon Fiber Winding?
Can you quickly get based designs into CAD?
What CAD software would you use?
What FEA software do you use?
Are you familiar with any of the following: CadWind, CadFil, or Mikrosam WindingExpert?

Besides the graphical output, would like to have the output be in excel for further analysis.

Thank you!
